Is it possible to change the screen tap sounds?
 

I've looked everywhere in the bloody Mogul to see if I can change the screen tapping sound to something else. I can't seem to find the .wav files for either the screen tap or hardware buttons. I even combed the registry for all the sound cues.

So is this at all possible? Or am I barking up an unclimbable tree?

I must have turned mine off early on. It would be annoying to have any sound fromscreen taps, IMO

Wes, post the sounds you want, and I will see what I can do. Kinda tired now, but you can replace any sound (that I know of). You just need to know the correct file name.

you can replace sounds. and, if you are just talking about the 'beep' sound it makes as you put the stylus on the screen, it is default.wav in the windows folder. i replaced mine with a wav file that is ~1s of silence. i could have made it shorter, but meh.

i've put it into 2 separate weatherpanel threads. i put it there because it was using weatherpanel that i was getting all the beeps and it was driving me crazy.

Why did you replace it with silence? You do know you can just disable it, right?

weatherpanel didn't, as of about 2 weeks ago, have a way to disable the default sound. so, even if i say 'don't make sounds' for ordinary functions, weatherpanel was still using the default wave.
so, i changed teh wave.
