Trouble playing media from networked desktop
 

I currently have a desktop computer hard wired to a linksys wireless router. I use the wireless for a PSP and XV6800. Installed HTC Network plugin and mapped the shared folder. Using HTC Audio Manager i can see all the items(albums) from the desktop but when i try to play them I cant seem to get more than 3 secs of the song at a time before the player starts buffering again. Same issue with Pocket WMP. First time ever trying to stream like this so im not sure if this is just generally the case. Question is can anything be optimized or is there a better app that can be used to play the music smoother? Thanks in advance

After numerous attempts while sitting next to the router it fairs a little better in Pocket WMP but still far from acceptable.
Any advice?

Have you tried Orb? Its web based. I haven't used it for a while but I don't remember having to buffer after starting.
