Text message log - Does it exist for Mogul 6800?

I used to be the not so proud owner of a Sprint Treo 755p. One application that was great was the chat log for texting. Has anyone created this for the 6800?

Are you talking about the way text messages were displayed like an instant message conversation? If so search around for 'ThreadedSMS.' It's a port of the Palm program for WM. Palm has asked that it not be distributed though so if you find don't post a link or cab.

If you're not talking about that then I'm not sure what you're talking. Sorry.

That is exactly what I was talking about. And after taking your advice, I have located a zip file containing the necessary files. Is this something you use currently or have used with the 6800? Any special install instructions?

Well, if you have a ZIP with a bunch of files then it might be the OEM to be included in kitchen ROMs. I'm not sure how to use those to be honest. I have a cabbed version that I use to install.

Yes, I use it on my 6800 and I think it works great. One thing I haven't found is where deleted conversations go. There is no deleted folder so I can only guess that they are gone. My only slight annoyance is there is a setting to create chats. By default this is set to create chats 'Only if I have replied,' but I set it to 'Always' thinking it should create a chat when I send a text. For some reason it doesn't though. Real minor issue though.

I know this won't help you now, but early next year when Windows Mobile 6.1 comes out, it's supposed to have threaded SMS added to it. (Something to look forward to I guess) :)

Tilt Text Messaging

I hope this question hasn't been posted before and that the way I phrase it makes sense.

When I open a text message, the screen automatically is scrolled all the to the bottom. It is annoying to always have to scroll up to see your text, who it was from, the time, etc. as opposed to the text opening the way everything else opens, with the screen scrolled up to the top.

Does anyone have this problem or a potential solutions?

Thank you!

Marcelo
