Problems Sending Email with EvDO
For some reason my mogul will not send an email when it is using evdo connection. I have to switch to wifi to send an email but I can receive them on either. Does anyone know how to fix this? I didn't see a thread about this so please don't bite my head off.

Are you using a POP3 account provided by your home ISP? If so, that could be the problem. Some ISPs won't allow you to send e-mails when connected to another providers service. Just a thought.
Good luck. |
I'm on verizon, and I can send using EVDO from Yahoo and my Verizon.net accounts.

so you have paid for the yahoo, pop access?

That sounds like what happens when you try to use your home ISP's smtp server from the phone which is on a different address block. Most ISPs lock down their smtp servers to keep them from becoming spam machines. Most, however, allow you to specify your username and password (usually the same as pop3) so you can use them from another connection. You might want to try that. It's in mail setup someplace.

Yeah, I had the same problem when I was using my Charter.net account (Charter is my ISP)... my solution:
Set up a GMail account and forward all my Charter mail there. |
