Problem with Esmertec Java App on Mogul
 

The issue I've got is with the Java app. The Esmertec About screen shows a Jbed FastDAC Build ID:
20070828.4.1 on it.
It will open ok, but when I try to do anything with it, the browser opens and I get an error:
there has been an application error. please contact your system administrator to report this error.
According to Sprint, their network has been running screwed all week, and they blame this error on that. Just got the phone on 12/3- have the 2.17.651.0 ROM on it. Never tried the Java App before I flashed to the new ROM. Anybody else have this issue or know a work-around?

I've been getting this too but not all the time. for me it's more intermittent, about one in eight times i try it. I don't get it with IE but I do with Opera and the java app. i also called Sprint and got the same reply as you got "screwie system" mumbo jumbo jubie bs

interesting...the opera browser part. i haven't tried any other browsers yet, so didnt run into that. i'm trying to find just the java app cab to reinstall with to see what effect that has, and going back to Sprint tonight to talk with one of their "good" techs supposedly. appreciate the information here boubert. i'll post when/if i find a resolution.
