xv6800 display color temperature flickers?
 

Hello-

I think I saw this problem for Sprint users at some point. On my xv6800 (Verizon obviously) sometimes the display will flicker between cool (blue tint) and warm (yellow tint). It's quite annoying. Is this a fault of the unit, or the software? Did you Sprint users ever get it fixed?

I had the same problem when I got my Titan, except with a red tint instead of a yellow one. It would alternate randomly from stylus taps and some hardware buttons (mostly the jog wheel).

It was running the stock TNZ WM5 ROM, and the problem completely disappeared when I flashed the Alltel WM6 ROM. I haven't seen it several ROMs later. There seem to be quite mixed reports on the problem - it appears my mileage isn't typical though.

For me it was definitely a software issue but some people seem to report faulty hardware.

now that you mention it, the flickering on my Sprint Mogul was fixed with the 2.16 and 2.17 Sprint ROMs. I had completely forgotten that my unit's screen flickered.

Mine still does it...but, I haven't upgraded Roms yet...I'm going to wait until they get this bluetooth fix in for sure...if they ever do.

For me, the 2.17 upgrade fixed it. I had no idea that it would be software related. Try a ROM upgrade.

However, mine still flickers in low backlight mode. Not between colors, but between brightnesses
