Need Help! Missing Today Screen Plugins
 

So, I do *not* have my phone backed up, unfortunately.

I've been installing various apps, resco file explorer, htc home, memmaid, and a few others.

I had installed spb pocket plus and didnt like it, so I removed it and did a soft reset to complete the uninstall.

When the phone reboots, all my 'today screen' plugins (htc home, resco, etc) are gone. I go back into settings/today/items to reload them, and all my formerly available today screen plugins are gone from the list!

The only items which appear are: Date, Calendar, Owner Info & Tasks. Even some of the 'default' today plugings like locking the phone or messages are missing.

Plz help!!!!

I am sorry I can't help you with this problem.... I am not that good yet.... but I wanted to take a second and remind everyone out there that this problem could happen to anyone.... and this doesn't sound like a big deal..... it should show why backing up your phone should be done all the time. If rajuabju would have backed up the phone, this wouldn't be an issue. Just wanted to take a second to remind everyone(mostly the noobs).

Yea, I know. I had just installed spb backup earlier in the day and set it to run over night... but the problem occured before the first backup took place :(

I *really* want to avoid a hard reset if possible.

If you can wait a few more hours, I'll post the registry settings you need.

Here's all of the default plugins for the Today screen.

You'll need PHM RegEdit or other registry tool to import the file, but it should get you back up and going.

I knew it! I knew it was something funky with the registry after uninstalling SPB Pocket Plus.

Anyhow, I already ended up backing up contacts, doing a hard reset, and reloading all my contacts & programs.

But, thanks so much. Now I know what to do the next time something like this happens. (of course, I will also be making nightly backups as well!)
