Well, even with 60610 i had no roaming icon either... i think it is the rom/radio version that they just provided...Maybe they want people to think they have more coverage than they actually do lol.

I placed it on the storage card and it worked just fine... make sure you unrar it first than do the ##code

Went back to 60610... EVDO roaming is back for my area.

My 6800 keeps turning the screen on when ever it switchs from "digital" to "roam" both ways....ever single time like clockwork.. ill be driving and it will light up, i think im getting a call but i dont...

it is very annoying...especially since i dont have my seidio clip for my pocket yet, who knows whats bein pressed while its in there...

First time upgrading my PRL here, but from what I've read, these are the steps:

1) UnRAR file onto PPC
2) Type ##PRL# into the dialer
3) Hit 'Connect' on dialer?
...

And after that I'm lost because when I use ##PRL# on the dialer I get a 'The code you entered is incorrect' message.

What am I missing / doing wrong?

I'm in the same boat. When it asked for my Unlock code I entered the MSLs that I got from GetSPC based on both the hex and dec ESNs, but both give me code incorrect messages. What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: Never mind, I guess I entered the ESN wrong the first time.

As soon as you enter the last "#" it'll ask for your MSL. You need the correct MSL for your device, see other threads for info on how to get it (the topic has been well covered).

If you don't have your MSL and can't get it, dial *2 and ask technical support for a PRL update. It takes a little longer and you have to talk to a person, but it's a lot easier if you don't know what you're doing.

Would having the Touch dialer loaded on my Mogul have any bearing on why when I enter ##775# or ##778# that nothing comes up after the last '#" has been entered?

Yes, using the Touch dialer will remove your ability to use ## codes. You can go to \WINDOWS\EPST.EXE on your phone, enter your MSL then select PRL from the 'View Info' soft key. Find your .prl file, apply, then reboot.

Bingo! Once in native form the update tool recognized the PRL and accepted it from teh storage card.
