Searched all over site - Fix for MSVC 1.6 confirmation using BT??
 

Can anyone please point me in the right direction...I lost 4 hours of my life earlier today when I accidentally stumbled onto what I thought was a fix only to send my mogul into an endless reset cycle and find out the fix was for 6700s...](*,)

Apparently some folks are confused by what I am looking for, lemme splain:

With HANDSET - I press button 5, microphone pops up on the top of the screen, I say," Call John Smith at Home", VC Lady says, "Call John Smith at Home", I say Yes...mogul dials John Smith at home.

With Bluetooth HEADSET (Jawbone)- I press button on headset, I hear a beep, I say," Call John Smith at Home", VC Lady says, "Call John Smith at Home", I say Yes...Nothing Happens and then I hear the blurp error tone.

I am looking for a fix for:
Voice Command 1.6 running on ROM 2.17, Radio 1.47.01, on my PC-6800 from Sprint - BLUETOOTH CONFIRMATION.

If anyone has a CONFIRMED (no pun intended) FIX for this issue on my configuration, I would be tickled if you would share. Thanks a lot for your help.

let me know if it works 100%, i've missed this feature, and now with 2.17 rom, I FINALLY have BT again!

It doesn't work for me. I got the latest 2.17 from HTC. I installed the three CABs in this zip... i.e. IDTransferV1.cab, LennySh VoiceCommand WM6 Fix.cab and Voicemd Apache Fix.cab

After I installed them, I noticed in the phone, the VC was now disabled. I made sure the voice dialer was still disabled, and then enabled the VC. It took my commands, but still no go on the confirmations. I then did a soft-reset, still didn't work.

Can you please confirm you got VC with confirmations working on Mogul with 2.17?

did you try turning on the notifications in the settings of MS VC?
and did you run the app called idtransfer in your programs folder?
and no... this worked for me on sampsons wm5 and with the 2.16 rom...

I got mine working on my Mogul with the hack called "apachehxvc" I installed it and soft reset and it work. What I can do is I press the BT button on the headset (it beeps short in the headset and then over the handset again which it didn't do with the 6700) and say "call home". VC then says "Call Home?" and I say "yes" and it dials. Only issue is that the female voice only comes out of the phone, not through the headset. But at least it partially works.

i'm ok with the confirmation coming through the handset. I can't get the VC lady to acknowledge me with the previous version.

People please be clear - There is a difference between Notifications and Confirmations.

o... i turn my confirmations off... lol
and the fix i gave you, i only use it so
that the phone will say the names of callers
but it also fixes that same issue on bt...

I use a Plantronics 640 bluetooth with Windows Voice Command 1.6. I have to turn off voice confirmation for it to work. Click on "start", "settings", "voice command". Scoll down the list on the left side and highlight "phone". Click on "options" and take the checkmark out of the 3 boxes. When you say "Call John Smith" now, the voice will repeat what you said and dial immediately. Only one problem. If you mispronounce who your calling or the system doesn't quite get it right, it could be dialing the wrong person. Watch the screen.

Read my post carefully and try it. I know exactly what you are looking for. Mine is working by activating the BT via the HEADSET and confirmations are working, but they are announced via the handset. Not sure why, but it is OK.

I ran into this problem constantly after a rom upgrade, and here's my suggestion. Let the girl talk, then let her get ready to listen before you tell her "yes". A good 1-second pause does wonders.

can you trust the app enough to turn off confirmations?

Where is the cab "apachehxvc" that supposedly initiates MSVC through BT, then routes the confirmation through the handset, and finally connects the call through BT. I would be ok with that for now.

I believe running the search is where I found it. If not, I can post it.

I've searched on 'apachehxvc', but can't find anything. If you have it, I think a few of us would appreciate the post.

It's not on pdaphonehome.com either.

I too would like to know how to fix this problem very annoying and I turned off confirmations but sometimes it calls the wrong person which is bad.

Any head way on this issue yet.


I am using the Jawbone BT headset xv 6800 running DCD's clean rom and MSVC 1.6

I have been trying to fix this on the xv6800 stock rom as well. I am using a jabra BT500v and when on the 6700 with about 25 different roms (wm5&6) I never had this problem. MSVC is also muffled sounding, which I think is perhaps part of the problem. All other sounds are not muffled- just voice command. I would like this file too as at least it would be a workaround. I cannot trust vc at this point to dial w/out confirmation as it is not as accurate on this build (over 600 contacts, over 1000 actual tel#s). I have this problem right after a hard reset, although I don't ever let the vz customizations run.

I haven't yet tried a custom rom on the xv6800, everything seems a little unpolished for vzw so far, getting closer, but not yet...

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

This has been documented as an official bug for both the Sprint and Verizon versions of the 6800. As far as i've been able to research, the only fix is to disable confirmation. I know it sucks, but thats where we stand right now.

So has there been any discussion of trying to rip a piece or two from wm5 to fix msvc, as the wm6 kitchen was/is for the 6700? MSVC is something I would really like to work. Actually it would probably be better to attempt a cab of that fix, so when msvc 1.7 comes out - uninstall the fix and install msvc 1.7...

--- Also there is another thread here where someone with a pair of s9's can use confirmations when his headphones are intercepting all audio, and he presses the msvc button on the PHONE then it all works through his headphones. I tried using btToggle to do this with my jabra bt500v, but msvc steals the audio back to the phone. anyways just updating and trying for a more viable workaround...

and I "swear" that confirmation WAS working, BUT now it doesn't work any longer on my Mogul!

As a matter of fact, "invoking VC from my BT headset" also stopped working, BUT I "fixed" that by deleting my Cardo Scala 600 and pairing it again.

Does anyone have any idea how to "fix" the VC voice and volume because I AM having trouble understanding "her" :???:

I have the same prob;em with my 6800 with ROM 2.17. I hae so many post on here that says it has all been ironed out and if you just search you will find the answer. I have not found the answer. I sent my 1st mogul back and I have the same problem with the new mogul.
