Know what else would be great? Use more meaningful titles in a thread. How about question marks instead of exclamation points? It looks like you are offering a solution rather than asking for one.

How hard is it to replace one file on the phone? Is a cab really necessary?

walla 11-25-2007 12:52 PM

Thread title is misleading. How hard is it to put a question mark at the end?

The thread title implies as if you have a volume fix in a cab file.

Title is fixed

er, fixing it

I guess it's hard enough for him to ask and it would be alot easier with a cab.
Instead of criticizing and if it is that easy, why don't you give him instructions on how to do it.

How about instead of wasting time flaming the guy to get your post #'s up somebody work on finding a solution and post something relevant.

You know TC1, it seems that you are very quick to jump on someone for not doing things just right. Why not be helpful to someone instead of being a smart ass? Would it have been that hard to actually be nice to the guy and you could have still gotten your point across or better yet if you are so perfect why not offer him a solution to his problem. I think we were all noobs at one time and everyone deserves a break. It seems most of your posts are spent criticizing others instead of helping them or contributing useful information. I sure hope you don't need help one day or have a question and one these guys you jump on so quickly has the answer. ;)

If I had a solution I would have offered it to him. Really.
In the meantime, the rest of us continue to wade through meaningless threads trying to pick out nuggets of wisdom here and there...

Have a great day :)

I wonder if you'd also second if someone asked for some respect. If you don't have the answer then don't try to flame him for such a trivial thing. In any case if it bothered you so much why not just give him an advice for next time instead of acting like a spoiled brat.

i did the volume fix and while i am a tech geek who manages to do ok in the tech world, self-taught to build high end pc rigs - i can see how someone could find doing the audiopara.csv fix a bit intrusive since many have to install another proggie for the mogul to overwrite the original file.

to the OP, did u see the thread on replacing the audiopara.csv file?

prophetwithadd 11-25-2007 09:15 PM

Hey Check This Out...

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=11184

cuzinbuxbx looks like you made a post titled "how to install dialer skin" where you start off with a question

So next time dont flame someone when you have no business doing so

you just got pwned hypocrite

promatchrcr 11-25-2007 09:24 PM

too funny!

muyoso 11-25-2007 11:36 PM

IDK, maybe I am old school, but I believe that if you have a question, you should spend a LOT of time searching before you put up another post asking for help. I had the same problem as the OP, and I spent all of a minute and a half searching, and I found my fix. In less time than it took him to create this thread, i found the solution and had it installed. I understand people not liking flaming of posts like this, and maybe if I was a more friendly person I would have just given him the solution, but I seriously think people should SEARCH before just wasting space on a forum. I spent about a month on this forum just reading before I made my first post, thats how it SHOULD be.

ScandaLex 11-25-2007 11:44 PM

Anytime a post is made with "!!!!!" it does in fact lead people to NOT see it as a question. Although it could have been told to the OP a little different/kinder even, the fact remains that exclamation come off as a solution and not a question.

I've noticed that some people do this simply to get people to pay more attention to their thread and quite frankly, for a site thats so decicated to helping, this game playing thread tactic becomes old and irritating?????

I have read many threads on solving the volume problem but all usually ask you to mess with the registry. I'm a little timid if it requires messing with the registry. I found two audiopara files in the Windows directory but could not see the file extensions to tell which one is the correct one to remove and replace. I even downloaded Total Commander to see if I can find the correct audiopara file extension but don't really know how to use that software. I truly understand the need for a cab file. They're easy to install and usually work after reset. A simple 1-2-3 solution.

My volume issues are still unresolved because of my timidity to mess with the registry. BRAVO to cabs.

If anyone has a cab for the volume fix, I'm in.

Thanks, fullajoyy

PS. I tried the bluetooth cab to enable listening to all types audio through my mono BT headset, it worked but also shut down my MS Voice Command which I use regularly. So I ditched it and went back to my previous settings. Even with cabs you have to know the limitations.

PSS. A kindergarden help for the volume fix (if no cab is available) would be very appreciated by most newbies. :)

No cab, but go here and get the "coarse" Audiopara.csv and rename it without the .txt and put it in windows folder with Total Com following the instuctions. You Really need to read up in the thread though.

Thanks Primenall,

I actually have a subscription to that thread. I've read all 5 pages a couple of times. My problem is learning to use Total Commander to find files and rename them. Or doing anything with Total Commander. After I downloaded TC, I can't find instructions on using the software and getting around in the software. Unfortunately it is not intuitive for me. I'll eventually get there but I'm just not a natural at this.

The forums have taught me a lot. I've done much with my Mogul. I'm sure I'll get this soon.
However, I still love cabs (I have them figured out :) )

I though this would be a very simply cab to make , I just want my mogul louder. I still would like to know if anyone can make this for us who are scared about this one
