Cannot find 8GB MicroSD card anywhere...
 

There are maybe two on ebay from UK and I saw a buy.com link, but it seems to not be anywhere in stock.

I'm just looking for a reliable link to give to "santa"...thanks for the help guys.

I've been looking for the same thing, but no luck so far.

I've not seen it stocked anywhere in the US yet (doesn't mean it isn't, but I've searched several times and not seeing it anywhere).

You use the right words - "reliable link". Beware of vendors you've never heard of who will accept your order, then tell you later it's out of stock.

Sorry - I don't get your point. That link shows no vendors who have an 8gb micro in stock.

Umm... they're not in stock because... they're not in stock, yet. They aren't shipping to the distributors yet. The best you can do is pre-order with a reputable place. Here's one (they are a very well know retailer here in NYC):

They might be available at verizon stores. I know verizon had the 4GB Sandisk SDHC before anyone else had it.

I have no idea if they have it or not, just an idea.

I agree, I personally wouldn't buy one at those prices. I never believe in being "first" when it comes to buying anything new when it comes out and paying a premium.

I'll get an 8gb when the 16's come out ;)
