HTC - Wants to know how we feel about them!
HTC is soliciting feedback about their phones
This is a link to the HTC survery site. http://hsc.asia.htc.com/qms/global/q...s_header_id=35 I say let them have it. |
Wow, this isn't going to end well... for them. :-)
|
I've given them my 2 cents!
|
i second that....everyone should go do the survey!
|
Not sure how to fill it out, considering I no longer own an HTC device because of how the Mogul was handled...
|
I let them hear it.

I own the mogul and touch... as much as there are peep who dislike the mogul, there will be just as many or more that like the Touch. I think they learned from the mogul and made the right corrections and applied it to the Touch.
The problems that we are experiencing with the mogul, is it HTC fault or is it Sprints? I tend to think it's Sprint's fault. HTC just does what Sprint asks for. The mogul for other carriers don't have the problems that we do. So this leads to the blame Sprint and not HTC. |
I dont think they will like what I told them. I was also business like. I doubt any thing will come of this as we all here are just a drop in the business world. They mostly serve the main streem big guys like Sprint, Verizon etc. Their excuse will be "That is what your service provider wanted in that model of phone. Oh well we will see.

i let them have it

I gave them blunt, candid feedback -- which will probably be ignored.
I'm still undecided whether (1) HTC designed a phone that perhaps will never have satisfactory BT, (2) Sprint screwed up a perfectly good phone. |
Yeah I think both Sprint and HTC are to blame for different reasons.

First of all, this feedback form is from HTC Asia. HTC only started selling phones directly to GSM customers recently (no required carrier or 3rd party to sell the device anymore), and it looks like this form is to see how they're handling it. Its got NOTHING TO DO WITH US!! They don't care about Sprint Mogul users, as Sprint is the official point of contact for the Mogul anyway.... they even ask for the IMEI number of your phone, which by the way is only existent on GSM phones - we have ESN numbers on CDMA, which is sorta similar in function but not the same thing. Clearly this form was written for GSM users who bought phones directly from HTC Asia to use with their carrier, and HTC wants to see how its direct support is going. Didn't anyone notice that much of this form doesn't apply to us? I went and started to fill it out myself as well until I realized this is not going to accomplish anything... all they'll see is that for some odd reason, all these Sprint users found their GSM sales department feedback form, at the same time, and started flooding it with their complaints about a certain CDMA model!!! Also, we fixed BT. It works. Follow the forum, look at the rom development threads... big news. Still, an "official" fix would be nice, but in the mean time, I'm happy with my BT for the first time since owning this device. |
Am I the only one that likes their Mogul?
I do hate Sprint for not having native EVDO coverage here, Alltel gives us EVDO here even when we are on Sprint voice service. The speeds have taken a dump lately no matter what part of town I'm in. 200k during the day, with 1000k at night. Go to the Sprint Corp area down the road and boom 800-1000k during the day. |
No way, I like my Mogul.
Per the HTC form...yeah, I took a quick glance and wondered what it had to do with anything concerning the Mogul, Sprint, anything outside of Asia or me. Answer: Nothing. |
I love my Mogul... I just wish it had more ram. Thats it. Oh.. and a software update that fixes the bt problem.

I filled in the form as well. I have a GSM phone so I could fill in all fields required. However I think HTC are well aware of the huge community out there. They most certainly will know that there are cooked roms for their devices everywhere. This helps them I think in making the future roms better. At least I hope so.

Now, if we could only get US residents to take this much action concerning the goverment, or their community, or the way their appartment looks, America would be close to perfect...
I love my Mogul. I may try a custom rom for giggles, but I don't feel I need to. |

2 - Yes, I know you et al released a 'BT-fixing' ROM; I installed it last night and plan to test it today. But the key point for me is that you fixed it, not the manufacturer & carrier. 3 - I felt a tiny bit better filling out the form anyway, and only took a couple of minutes. 4 - THANKS much for the BT fix! :=) |

Glad your Mogul works well for you. The only thing driving me to a custom ROM is BT on my unit. |
