User Modifiable

I was in a Sprint store today and tried out the Touch...not too impressed.

This program works pretty good. Is there any way to modify it?

I would like to do the following:
  • Change the font
  • Make the font larger
  • Point certain links to alternative programs, for example:
    • "Photos" to my Camera Album program (iPhone copycat) instead of the OEM photo viewer.
    • "Contacts" to iContacts (iPhone copycat) instead of the OEM contact application.
  • If this was user changeable, that would be really cool.
UPDATE: I would also like to be able to open a program from the Cube and when I close that program, I return back to the Cube. Currently, when doing this, after closing the program, you return to the Today screen (desktop) and not the Cube.

Pretty good program, wish it were a little faster, but that is probably the lack of RAM (HTC and Sprint blunder) and the other programs I have running.

i have not tried Slither's program...I will probably try the next version of that one.

i just installed this earlier tonight, and let me tell you how much i think this is an improvement from the flash version. it is so much quicker to respond, it responder better to the finger strokes. after using the flash version i basically didn't see a use for it since it was so delayed, but after playing with this one for a while i might begin to use it.

well done!

Can anyone confirm if they've got it running on a 6700 with WM5? I've got it installed on my 6800 and it is amazingly fast and so far bug free for me. My co-worker has a 6700 and would like to know if it works on WM5. Thanks.

I also would like to see how to configure the program the way hotdjdave has described... I went into the cube folder in program files. and couldn't find the configuration file. But must be somewhere right?

Some of it is user changable........
To change it to Camera album, click on the cube settings icon in programs > mediahub tab > in Photo Apps change it to \windows\htcalbum.exe. click save, OK and wait about 1/2 minute and then soft reset.
(as long as you have the app installed already)

Can't help you with iContact but it's probably a regit hack.

sorry for the newbie question, is there a way to link the "Photos" button to the HTC camera album viewer app?

changing icons

hey all,
i got this working awesome and was able to change sms/tasks to resco radio and slingbox and they launch perfect; all is well... problem is i can't seem to change the icons out, they still sow the original icons. I've tried using a .png that another user (Gant?) was using for a tv icon to use for my slingplayer icon, but when i choose the select icon in the touch settings configurer, it only brings up folders and I can't find this icon anywhere (i've put it in multiple places)... I must be missing some simple step somewhere, but can anyone give me some direction? this is an incredible and speedy program and i'm loving it so far!

tia,
chris
