PPCGeeks - connect to internet through computer?

I have two moguls ( =/ would rather have 1 hd2) that are okay condition so I did a parts swap and took the board from one and put it in the others plastics. The gps on the board I removed didn't work as well as the other one for some reason...
Anyway, I forgot to do a dashwire sync before I told sprint to change the ESN. So my old phone has all my contacts but no data connection. Now, I could just sit down and copy them all by hand but typing this on a big keyboard is easier.
IIRC, you could connect to the internet with the phone if you had it tethered to a computer via USB (not the otherway around) This would be great because I could just run a dashwire synch real quick on the old phone, once again on the new phone, and the world would be happy and sing coombyah songs around a campfire. So, If anybody knows how to configure a mogul to have a data connection through a windows 7 pc that would be great.

not sure if that all made sense, I have to go to bed....
oh and im running winmo 6.5 if it makes a difference
