Purchasing another Carrier's 6800
 

Hi folks - I am considering upgrading my 6700 to a 6800. I can currently get a Sprint 6800 for a couple hundred bucks cheaper than from my own carrier in Canada (Telus). Will there be any problem activating it with another carrier after flashing it with Telus' own rom or is this the kind of thing that carriers try to be weasels about? Thanks!

flashing the rom wont modify the ESN. it all depends whether telus will allow activation of an ESN they didnt issue. maybe a telus user can chime in here.
