AOL IM Forwarding not working. no confirmation number

i am trying to set up aol im forwarding on my mogul and/or touch. i tried this on both and neither worked. i have a buddy who says it works on his mogul, but when i try to set it up i never recieve the confirmation number. aol help says i either do not have a sms plan or my provider doesn't allow im forwarding. what gives?

does anyone know how i can get this going?
does anyone else have this problem?
does anyone else with a sprint touch or mogul have there aol im forwarding ok?

thanks, cody

BTW. i did search first and found some old (2004) stuff saying if your msn and msid didn't match it wouldn't work. my dont match. i was ported to sprint from nextel.

I just registered mine. It only took about 5 seconds to receive the confirmation sms. Make sure you used your right phone number...

Check on http://mobile.aol.com/

Just login with your AOL/AIM account.

You can also sign in to AIM through text messaging.

mine works fine on mine. i just went to that mobile.aol.com site, told them i had a the ppc6700 (listed in "other") and boom, it worked. i even used it this morning.

well i am sure that all of you that have it working have the same msn and msid numbers.

i know how to set it up. the only problem is i cant get past the confirmation part cause i never get the sms message. i tried the msid as the number as well. no luck.

in aim help site it talks about people who have been ported over from other carriers. this is when you will get the different numbers. sprint said that i was SOL.

This sucks
