Alright.. first off.. This is awesome!

Second..

I made a bunch of OEMs and am quite excited, however I am having some issues. I have not removed anything from the rom (I chose to use the 2.16 for my first attempt).
I am trying to add a few HTC programs like HTC Home and HTC Audio Manger. Both fail when I am running buildOS. error I am getting is "the file 'temp\dump\HTCDrmAPI.dll" already exists." with "error, last status: "Processing: OEM\OEMAPPS".

As I said before, I did not delete anything from the original Rom. I am pretty sure there are files there that conflict with the same files in some of my oems. The new comm manager is a good example as obviously there is already a comm manager built into the default rom. Do I remove the files from the rom using "step 2" from your instructions? What do I need to do?

I feel I am so clooooose! lol it sucks feeling like im a n00b again all over! I definitely wanna dive into the dirty side of the kitchen.

Thanks!

when adding the audio manager and htc home there are three files that you have to delete from oemapps they are verinfo.dll htcdrmapi.dll htcfsrc.dll

cool cool alright.. so that got me a bit further.. I am also adding HTC Streaming Media, which errored out on EmAmrWbDecDll.dll, which was also processed supposedly from \OEM\OEMAPPS.

I just deslected that OEM and then failed on the registry create. I received error building default hv and user hv.

EDIT: Ok.. so I deselected all OEM's cept for HTC Home and Audio Manager. This made the registry able to be created. Appears to be failing on my latest Live search oem for the registry issue and HTC Streaming Media and Kasier 10 Button Commanager and BigJ Arcsoft MMS for files that already exist...

Nother quick question: Do we have to have the olipro boot loader loaded to flash using this? My rom that I built it with is the Sprint 2.16.

Allllmost having my own rom! So close! grrrrr

Kudos again to Dogguy for making this possible!!

are you using the oemizer that came with the kitchen if so that should make adding so much easier by the way start out with a clean rom this way all you have to do mostly is add to it

Note to all: Whenever you see a failure in the registry, go into \temp and look at log.txt. It should give you which .rgu, and about which line number within that .rgu the failure came in. Go find your problem child (usually some simple syntax mistake) and fix, then build again.

Find and remove the originals, and see the note above about registry failures.

Yes. Remember you only need to unlock your device once though. After its unlocked, you'll be able to simply go through the steps of the kitchen, and after running BuildIt.bat to create your RUU_signed.nbh, you simply navigate to \RUU and run RomUpdateUtility.exe

Keep on pluggin'.

Just a heads up to those following this thread, I'm actually going to split the kitchen into two options. Option A is what is currently available (ReadMe is not up-to-date, its actually easier now :P) and it is in actuality DogGuy's Kitchen Maker.

Option B will be an actual kitchen based on a stock rom that has been cleaned up. That will be a hold-me-over until we have a truly good stable base ... at which time the official kitchen will most likely be released. I will try to put some extra effort into building a clean base rom to work off of in the next few days. If someone else *hinthint* *nudgenudge* would like to pull out all the junk from a rom and offer it up as a base, I'd happily incorporate their work.

Would be really nice to have a clean rom with no provider stuff what so ever, this way any Sprint, alltel or Telus user can work off that and include there own provider ext contents.

All the current custom roms are for Sprint people !

I'm starting to do some poking around with your tools and try to learn this stuff !

I wish to use the Telus rom as my base and clean her up to bare.

Does anybody know what I need to do to prevent that HTC_GUARD thing from being installed and reverting to the ROM's original carrier's settings? I'm using the Telus ROM and can't find anything referencing the string "guard."

Thanks!

PS: Thanks DogGuy; this is awesome!
