Official HTC Mogul 2016 Timestamp fix!
 

On February 1st HTC released a hotfix to correct the problem of texts appearing to come from 2016: http://www.htc.com/us/support/mogul-sprint/downloads/

Attached is the official cab from htc, if it wont install on your device i have also attached the rillphone.dll extracted from that cab for you to copy directly to your device. In order to do this you first need to put the phone in airplane mode and extract the rillphone.dll file to the windows directory of your phone and overwrite the old one.

Also attached is a program extracted from the cab correcttimestamp.exe that you can run on your phone that will fix the time stamp on all your old texts.

hmm, i was told by the htc rep that we wouldnt be getting a titan or vogue fix.. nice!

Worked on initial setup. 2016patch also changed the timestamps on all my messages. really appreciate it!!

The cab probably wont but the other files should.

i cannot get the file to overwrite. it is read only and i cannot change it. will this only work with WM6.1? i am using the older ROM from sprint and WM6.0...how can i change the attributes on the file so i can overwrite it. also, correcttime.exe wont run on the device...do i have to run it from windows on my pc?

Has anyone tried this on a phone flashed to WM6.5 using the 23551 ROM from this thread? The .cab from HTC won't install since it's for WM6.1, and I don't see any mention of a fix in the other thread.
