Locking the screen on the mogul
 

How do I lock the screen a la the Treo 650? When a call came in on the Treo, I got a notification but the screen was locked until I hit the center button on the 4-way pad. I rarely (if ever) picked up a call or activated a program whilst the Treo was in my pocket. But the side button on the Mogul is in the wrong place. I often find I have made a few calls, activated some programs, and maybe even done some editing all while the phone was in my pocket. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

on your Today screen there is a line that says "Device Unlocked"...click that and it will lock your screen...

Thanks! Do you know how the name/location of this file? I'd like to make a shortcut to it. Also, do you know of any options like auto on after the device is idle for 15 sec, etc?

You want Slide2Unlock, or the latest but not completed yet version S2U2.

I completely sympathize with your delima and am actually looking today to see if something newer and better has come out to handle lock/unlock.

TREO has the most efficient method I've witnessed to make sure calls and apps do not launch from your pocket, the d-pad to unlock was wonderful.

Slide2Unlock is the closest program I've found to making the "should be" simple task bearable. It has its drawbacks though: callerID is flakey at best and you cannot use the default password protection in WM settings. The setting you will most like from this app is the use of d-pad to unlock.

I just found this today. So far it has been stable.
