Bad software doesn't have to be running to mess up a system. System files can be replaced/erased or registry entries can be tampered with which can cause instabilities. To blame the Mogul as the culprit to a memory leak is very unlikely.

Sometimes it is not the user but the phones itself. I am on my fourth Mogul and may have to take this one back. The 1st one had keyboard failure. Either the letters would not show on the screen when a key was pressed or they would show in duplicate (jjj). That was replaced under warranty/no charge. Went to Sprint to pick up the 2nd phone and the screen was DOA! The phone would power up but no display on the screen. The Sprint CS rep sent it back and ordered the 3rd phone. Picked that one up and noticed that it had what looked like a bright, waterspot under the screen on the mid/low right hand side. When using the onscreen keyboard and the letter h was pressed, u would show up on the screen. The same thing with the letter j producing an i and k producing an o. As for the 4th Mogul that I am using now...everything works fine except for the wifi. I will admit to being busy and have not had a chance to try to tweak the settings. But I will say this, with the other 3 Moguls, once I turned the wifi switch on the side to the on position, they would pick up and list all nearby networks. Whereas when I flip the switch with this Mogul...nothing. The wifi icon shows up on the top of the screen, but no network information shows up like before.

Im on my 4th mogul.. the first 2 broke and the 3rd one, the screws fell out. Now I have to get this one replaced beacuse the screen is cracked.

Will Sprint let me upgrade to the Touch until the Diamond or Rapheal come out... I cant stand this phone anymore. Ive had all sorts or problems with it.

I'm currently on my 4th one, still can't believe it. In twenty years of cellular phone use I've never come across a phone with so many issues.

the only thing wrong with my mogul is the keyboard. keys are getting hard to press so im gonna start looking for a fullscreen keyboard. other than that everything is good.

sounds like you may want to have your sprint store (corp one) take a look at the phone and see if the phone should be fixed or replaced.

I love the blasted thing but hate it at the same time.. I went through three 6700's and am on number eight 6800... All different issue's too.. A mix of software and hardware.. I understand I can be hard on my phone.. But I'm not that stupid hard on it.. Ehh thank god for insurance..

I've asked them about this.. and the answer is NO.. Or at least until all inventory of the 6800 has been exhausted.. It took about a year before they started giving people the 6800 instead of the 6700, and that was only if you complained like crazy.. There not about to just give away a $700 piece of hardware cause you pay $7 in insurance every month.. Unless like I said you complain.. Alot.. Like I will be doing..

Re: How many times has your Titan / Mogul / P4000 been replaced?

I am on my 6th mogul and called today to order my 7th due to the crappy screen and the light spots showing up this time even on black backround and talked to the guy about upgrades/downgrades he told me the they would probably move me to a treo if I wanted but they weren't available until mid july, offered me a touch which i refused again. They dont even question me anymore when I call and order a replacement phone.

do you have to pay the $50 each time to get replaced or just the first time?
