Texting Bug, Can Someone Else Duplicate?
 

Okay, So since the 2.16 update, i've been having weird issues with my texting, and i finally found what the issue may be.

When sending an outgoing text (i DO NOT use the palm threaded sms), i type it up, and hit send, but if i close the text messaging app BEFORE the sms sent notification comes up, then any reply texts aren't shown until i open the text app again. can anyone else try and duplicate this? I have hard reset, and it still hasn't helped, so I think it's another 2.16 bug.

Can anyone else confirm/duplicate this?

okay, so i was doing some more testing last night, and after hard resetting, ONLY installing x-button, and then sending a text and closing the app before the sent message notification, the first text i receive from anyone, will only "wake" the phone up, but it will not display that i have a new message until i get either another text, which then prompts the phone to say i have 2 new ones, or I open the texting app, and this happens. as far as i remember, this never occurred prior to installing the 2.16 update. however, last night, i tried the following schemes, and ALL of them had this bug:

2.16 w/ 1.47 Radio
2.16 w/ 1.40 Radio
2.09 w/ 1.32 Radio

and ALL of those had this issue. if anyone else can confirm this, I would appreciate it, and if it works for the rest of you, then there must be an issue with my phone that I need to discuss with sprint.

I too have noticed something bizzare going on with my txt's... now that you've brought it up, I'll do some experimenting to see if I can duplicate the problem you have.

Do you sometimes get weird kick-back type messages that say, "SUCCESS xxx-xxx-xxxx" or something along those lines as well?

My girlfriend tells me she often gets duplicate messages from me, and I'm wondering if it has something to do with hitting the dismiss button and/or exiting the sms program too soon?

Anyway, I'll report my findings...

yeah, sometimes my phone sends out duplicates too, and i've received doubles from my cousin, who also has a mogul. so i'm tryin' to find out what's going on.
