Push IMAP?

I know WM supports push mail with exchange, but is there any support (or any programs to add support) for IMAP IDLE? It basically allows you to idle on the IMAP server and be notified when you get an email, basically IMAP push mail.

Check out FlexMail from WebIS

FlexMail sucks!

Very unstable/unreliable for many, many users. To the point that they began to censor their own (previously open to public posts) support forums.

Search here and at xda for more details.

I was hoping for something that would integrate reliably with Inbox/Pocket Outlook. I don't really want to install and run yet another program on my phone. :P

Although I'm not sure how using IMAP idle would affect the battery life, so i'm probably better off just having it poll for messages periodically.

I spend a good bit of time looking for a solution a couple of months ago. And after spending way too much of my time trying to get FlexMail to work well (and losing a couple of mailboxes full of email), ended up sticking with Pocket Outlook set on a 15 minute timer. PO has worked fairly well, and been very reliable - which to me was of primary concern.

check out Sprint Business Connection Personal Edition, bc.sprintpcs.com

worth a peek at the very least, and supports push.

That seems to be the general consensus of many users - myself included.

Hopefully, you were a bit more patient than me in sending them money ;-(
