Push email/exchange like service for gmail

So i have been searching for i think an impossibility. I need a way for my gmail to act like a corporate exchange account on my mogul. Has anyone come across anything that I haven't?

You can either wait until GMail rolls out IMAP or you can get a mail2web account (see link on the FAQs sticky) with one of their paid plans that allows you to proxy one of your e-mail addresses as outgoing mail and then forward your GMail to your mail2web account.

Basically... your GMail gets forwarded to mail2web and then gets pushed to your device. You set up the proxy to look like your GMail account and then when you reply it'll look like you did from GMail.

IMAP was rolled out to all 6 of my GMail accounts last week. Check your GMail settings under "POP/Forwarding" and "IMAP" should now be included as well.

Have I missed something in reading about this? Does IMAP = push? That would be too good to be true, since i have gmail as my primary email account right now.

IMAP isn't push, but its a big improvement over POP. It utilizes flags that lets your local client and email server communicate as to which messages have been read, what folder they are in, etc. etc.

IMAP does have notification of new messages without polling, but MS POutlook does not implement it.

FlexMail supports push IMAP. I haven't gotten it to work with GMail yet, but my wife who also has a Mogul has. I'm going to try reinstalling it to see if that helps.
