Radio fried? Wont connect to Voice/Data.....
 

Last night I tried tethering my 6800 to my computer for use as a modem, and afterwards it shows me being in EVDO coverage but under signal strength, it has the no service icon. When someone calls, it will show the 1x icon but wont bring up any information about the caller or let me answer. I cannot bring my dialer pad up either.This is on the 2.09 rom, only mod was the speed/battery cab.


Any suggestions on fixing this? If not ill just take it to sprint to get another. Only bad thing is, I have to find a wifi area to back up my contacts since I didnt have PIM installed and it wont sync to my PC.

anyone have an idea?

first try doing an IOTA update. go to settings phone/services/internet/get settings and hit start. if that dont work i would do a hard reset. if that dont work then go to sprint. i would always do the hardreset before going into sprint just so thay dont see you doing things like reg edits/ hacks and what not. if a completly clean device (after hard reset) doesn't work then there is a problem. you may have just done something weird with you connection setting when setting up the theatering.

did you try removing the hack from the add remove programs? remove it, wait 6o seconds and then softreset

did the soft reset, try to do the IOTA and is says device unable to connect. im trying like a madman to backup my contacts but my phone is being a hassle.

use a card reader in your PC and copy a PIM backup cab to it, put it back in the phone install. Backup the contacts to the card. Done. Or you can copy PIM.vol to the card and restore it back after a hard reset. Or sync of IR to your computer?

I managed to get pim on my phone after switching computers a few times. i backed the contacts up and then did a hard reset. it worked wonders.
