"Notification" Gets me introuble

How do you eliminate the "notification" soft key that appears after you receive a text message or email. I've already figured out how to eliminate the automatic "pop up" though start/settings/personal/ Sounds and notifications/Notifications/ Messaging: Text Message, but I can't seem to eliminate the "notification" alert that appears on the left soft key. I don't want that notification sign popping out if my girlfriends there. (She can't figure out how to go into my actual text message, but she can press the hell out of that "notification" alert that appears.) Please help.

so why not just have ur phone lock automatically after 20-30 secs. so she cant get in it? and just tell her that the phone locks its self..

Did you un-check "Display message on screen" under start/settings/personal/ Sounds and notifications/Notifications/ Messaging: Text Message?

LOL, this is solid advice. Or you could stop getting provocative text messages when your gf is around ;) Or devise your own code to use so she is none the wiser!

Maybe you shouldn't be a playa if you have a "steady" girlfriend!

Man don't feel bad. It's hard having a girlfriend when your doing what you are suppose to do. They tend to get more jealous, protective, ensecure, and plain out crazy. You might want to let whover is texting you not to text you unless you text them. Now if the other person does not know about your girl, simply say it's because you don't get many text messages in your plan. If they still do it then you got to let them go because it's a problem. ANd never think a woman can't find out how to get info through technology. That's a no no. I am not a tech guy but I do know women and technology won't help you with this one. You got to tighten up your game.

Blaqdymun 10-30-2007 04:32 PM

Why the man wants to turn it off is neither here nor there. Why can't someone answer the question and keep it moving. Yes, he did put himself out there when he offered that tid bit of information but damn, had he left it out, the part about his snoopy girlfriend ya'll would have told him what to do without trying to dis his nosey girlfriend or his poor choice in one! ROTF.... Still ROTF....ROTF and can't get up!

Well I don't know how to get rid of the text message thing, but one suggestion I've made to my friends is in your contacts give your "other girls" guys names so when your girl goes snooping she'll see a guys name and will be less likely to look.

Then when she goes snooping on your phone and sees what this guy wants to do to you she'll get more suspicious.

Yeah but if she thinks you're screwing around with another guy instead of another woman she's less likely to slap the s*#t out of you and more likely to just cry or feel like less of a woman.

Give Him a Break!

Don't act like none of you has never cheated a GF at some point in time or at least had more than one female send text messages that could be misunderstood. I've had females send nude pics and nasty texts to me ever since I had a cell phone (11yrs now). If you have a one of those GF's that is just insecure, no matter what any girl says in a text, its gonna be misunderstood.

Even if he isnt on the up and up, whatever happened to sticking together to solve the problem and answer his question?

Sound like a bunch of F****ing haters to me.

This program will do what you need it to do. Use it in good health.

Not to mention the $25 for that program is way cheaper than having to pay the deductible on having your Mogul that was thrown out the window replaced.

Lsme420 10-30-2007 06:24 PM

Its like the Jerry Springer show.

xxjuicymintxx 10-31-2007 01:02 AM

I'd really like an answer to this question as well.
Not that I'm in the same situation,
I just TEXT a lot,
and hate having the stupid notification there everytime.
Plus, I have S2U2, and the home plug in,
so I just use those #'s to tell me how many text I have.

I HATE the notification.
There has to be a registry key or something that can be changed.
Cmon people.
You guys can cook up ROMS, but I can't get stupid notifications disabled?!

Grrr...
....stupid notification...

Bryun.

You guys are funny

Wow I wasn't expecting such a response from you guys. Thanks shaun0207 for the suggestion, but to expensive to turn off that annoying "notification" alert to the left. Didn't know the girlfriend snooping through the phone was gonna be such a big deal (lol.) I have been doing research on this issue and it seems there are threads here and there trying to rid of this issue. Does anyone have any hacking suggestions?

No problem. Try the trial version, you may want to purchase it after that.

In "Options" click on "Enter Cheat Code" and ask your GF what to type there

mista _young 10-31-2007 07:23 PM

Hey bra
lock your phone or get the htc home customizer, with the customizer only the number of texts will come up . or you can change the Notifications soft key and hide it with another button. You are going to have step it up a bit player . Don't let ole girl wake you up talking about who is Becky !
