Modify vibrate for HTC Mogul

Hey!

Can any of you guys please tell me how can I modify vibrate to make it so powerful.. I went into Registry to modify "STRENGTH_LOW set to 0 or 1" but it doesn't much any differences.

Thanks!

Did you make sure to wait a few minutes after changing the registry before soft resetting it?

Double check the registry and see if the setting took.

Two ways to soft reset. One is to take the stylus and push in the little hole that's under the memory card at the bottom of the phone. Or you can hold the power button till the thing warns you that you're going to lose unsaved data then hit yes

Thanks!! Again, it's still same feelings.. even though I checked into Registry that I have changed.. Not much really differences.

Thanks again!

I actually noticed that instead of the vibrate changing strength, it changed its time, as in it went from a short pulse to a long rumble, annoyed the crap out of me

The one thing that I can't figure out that is 'vibrate related', is keeping the Ringer AND Vibrate on at the same time. I make the registry change, and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't work, the registry change is still there. Any ideas? Does the version of HTC Home that has the Ringer settings make this change as well?

I notice a small difference, but nothing drastic. The biggest thing that annoys me is unlike a normal phone it doesn't vibrate in waves, or pulses, but just stays on for the entire ring. I wish that could be modified.

I agree...

It is also VERY powerful. Often in class the vibrate can be heard because its so loud.

This can be. But this is what I have a problem with, as sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

If you go to the registry, HKey Current User > ControlPanel > Sounds > Ringtone0

You can change the Script to customize how it rings.

There is another thread on here that gives details on every script code, but the only ones that I use are...

a - Activate
p - Play
v - Vibrate
r - Repeat

I can't remember what the default code is, but my code is av0pr. This tells the phone to, Activate the phone, Vibrate forever, Play ringtone, repeat when ringtone is finished.

The 0 or # signifies the amount of time it will vibrate. 0 is for indefinate. If you want it to vibrate for a second or two, you can change the number to 1, 2, 3, or however long you want it to ring for.
