Possible solution to Dpad issue
Last night, I was working on my phone tweaks and noticed the dpad was not moving the cursur as well as it should (at the time, I wasn't aware of the issue). I decided to go to settings>buttons>up/down control and I moved both of the sliders to better settings:
Delays before first repeat : moved it to the fifth notch on the "short side" Repeat rate: Moved it to the fifth from the "fast side" After I did that, I haven't seen the issue at all and I have been using it all morning, even with BT on. I haven't seen the BT shutdown though. |
I've tried this, it doesn't seem to make a difference.

And my bluetooth just shut off.

Did you soft reset after making the changes? Mine seems fine now. Going on 8 hrs today alone.
|
I soft-reset several times. Still no dice. I did have a situation like yours - BT worked AND D-Pad worked for a solid 10 hours or so. Then crap.

update: It just started acting up and the Dpad is now not working again. I guess I'm switching back to the Alltel until someone extracts the BT drivers out of this piece of junk and puts it in a workable format.

I've had to reluctantly switch off BT. My reasoning is that when I'm using BT, I probably don't need the phone's physical interface, and vice versa. But dammit, let's see a fix already!

What is really annoying is that it took everyone on here less than a day to figure out that there is an issue and it will take Sprint/HTC months to fix it. At least now, the custom ROM chefs will have a new ingredient to work with to cook up something decent.
