What is the word on sending your phone in through lockline... Are they still sending out refurbs or are they sending out 6800s now...

Keep in mind...Formally the 6700 is to be replaced by 6700B's and only in escalated situations have clients had model swaps done.

My understanding is that Lockline would have their own stock and not be in the same boat as the stores meaning that its likely 6700 is what you will get as a replacement. Now on a second note, since Lockline is Insurance you more than likely will be paying your deductable to get a handset swap. Since all new Insurance includes Repair you are far better off to goto a service center first before escalating an insurance claim. If you still need to file a claim, the CSR's can assist you with this.

Pesonally this seems to be a split camp as far as who prefers the 6800 to the 6700 and i think you are sitting well as long as you have a "New to you" functioning handset.

I dont want to speak for everyone, but i think we all agree you get absolutely the best client services at the store level dealing directly with a "Core Store".

I have always had better luck with the insurance than the store. Everytime I have had to do an insurance claim I have always gotten a new phone and usually it is the new model. Yeah, I have had to pay the $50... But to me it is worth it not having to deal with the tween in the store that doesn't know what he is doing.

It was my understanding they made modifications to the policy within the last 24 months and that deductibles were now something like $50 & $100 with our handhelds falling into the latter catagory.

Although i can appreciate your perspective, personally I find it excessive to have to "pay" for something which should be included at no additional charge. Not to mention Insurance is intended for DBR (Damage Beyond Repair) replacements as opposed to warranty repairs. This is why Sprint merged the two catagories, they felt people were abusing the insurance program when the appropriate repair would have been easier and in the end ultimately cost all the subscribers less.

Of course we are so spoiled!
IF we owned iPhones we would have to ship the damn things off for a simple faulty battery!

GSM = NO SERVICE CENTERS - at least our CDMA carriers care about us
