Thunderbolt - No data

So, I received my shiny new hTC Thunderbolt Friday afternoon. Popped in the 4G SIM card, popped in the battery and powered it on. Went through the activation process and all was great. Super-fast phone, simultaneous voice and data. Then late Friday evening no data at all. Several call to Verizon over the weekend with them telling me that Thunderbolt is having issues with 3G. There is no 4G in my area yet, WTF now I have no data for two days. Is anyone else out there experiencing problems with the Thunderbolt data????? Please help, VZW tech support has been useless.:mad::confused2::confused2::angry1::a ngry1:

you guys that buy new phones might wanna hard reset after activation, its kinda a must imo and eliminates alot of issue later on. not saying its your issue but good practice. its that stupid iphony causing 3g issues but if i were you make sure you get a credit for no data time, tell them your company relies on your phone and now you lost money ect.

Any chance you used the #*#*4636*#*# to disable 4g? I changed it too CDMA PRL... and no data at all for me. The only way I got it back was a full reset.

I had not data late Friday night, but not all night. When I woke up I had emails from 3:00am, but no data Saturday morning. I rebooted and data was restored. I have 4G extended coverage at my house, so I don't think it was just 3G. I have had data since the reboot.

@ Patel33....I have tried the #*#*4636*#*# already to lock it down to 3G, but still no luck. The only thing I haven't tried yet is a full factory reset. That's what I am going to do now. I will post my results in a little while.....keeping my fingers crossed that this will work.

darren, you are the man.....hard reset worked like a charm. Tech support needs to step up their game. I am very happy now, I just hope this isn't a recurring problem. I had everything customized the way I wanted it, and then had to hard reset. This is by far the best smartphone I have had yet....htc makes one helluva device!!!
