Is this just the stock ROM that comes on the phone?
Are there any ROMs for this device yet? (v2.3? or at least something to enable tethering?)
I'm a newb to Android...coming from HTC Touch Diamond on Sprint.

I haven't tried PDAnet on the Thunderbolt to confirm it works, but the unrooted version is USB tether only, no wifi hotspot w/o root.

I am a noob to pretty much all this and I just bought the Thunderbolt and was wondering what this will help do with my phone and if there are any other apps out for it now. Where can I get the swype beta for the Thunderbolt? Any guidance would be very appreciate it. Thank you for you time and I like the community here.

This is the latest release. There are a ton of apps, check the Market out on your phone. Swype beta can be obtained via....swype beta lol. Google it and you can sign up and get started right away.

There are 2 custom roms out and a debloated rom.
I've been running Virus rom, it Is awesome....especially for how new this device is.
Battery life is alot better to.

For the ones who dont know what this is.
This will put your thunderbolt back to stock just the way it was new. incase you brick it or need to unroot to do a warranty claim
