SOLVED!!


With help below and Ookba from XDA I finally got it right..This is standard for some of you experienced users so this is for the new editor like myself..I used :

Total Commander

and

1) I saved the File in a folder called personal, and synced to phone.

2) Went in commander and selected file.

3) Hit file option to move.

4) Dropped in the Windows folder.

5) NO MORE MESSAGE SENT WINDOW TO CLOSE!

Since I have posted this I have tried 10 different applications, reg editors and the cab that does this for other phones.. I have had zero luck and refuse to mess with my registry anymore..This was annoying as hell in 5.0, so why is it still here in 6.5??

should work 4 VZW (i assume that's why none of the others work)

I had tried the TP2 one before but I tried your suggestion and its still there.... Maybe its different because it the non-touchscreen version of windows...This one uselss pop-up makes me hate the entire phone...

Yes... it seems all the old 6.1 tricks or ones from other devices wont work on this stubborn thing....Ookba at XDA has a file but when I went to overwrite (was editing from PC) it told me I didnt have permission....

I am thanking both of you for trying though...

you have to overwrite using total commander on the phone

Okay... That program is a bit new to me but Im willing to try boss....Never been one for editing the registry...heh

With your reply I gave it another spin Rhodium on a clean format... Worked perfect and edited above...

Good call Carla... Since the issue is kinda unique to this device... Not sure why this one was such a pain... Othe models are fixed with a simple .cab....

No problem :). You should edit your first post and maybe throw in a "fixed" or something and give us a quick how-to about how you accomplished this. You don't have to by any means, just a suggestion :)

Check it again...heh... I had already put solved in the title, and put instructions on how I fixed it and who helped... Probably easy stuff for you veterans, but I have always been weary of messing with the registry... I need my phone too much to have a paperweight... :mrgreen:
