Just what the title says.

We need Root for the HTC merge.

I've done as much research as I have time for, but as a nOOb to android I'm not making much progress.

Please help.

I too would like permanent rooting. I'd like to get the Wi-Fi hotspot sharing turned on. So, any ideas at all would be greatly appreciated.
