Will GPS work with Iguidance?

Hello,

Just looking into the Kaiser / Tilt and am wondering if the built-in GPS will work with anything other that the Telenav program that it comes with.

Is there an extra charge from AT&T for using the GPS feature of the phone?

I have the Mogul and bought a $35 bluetooth GPS unit which works flawlessly with the Iguidance program and I dont pay a cent to use it.....which is how I would assume it works with AT&T.

Any information is appreciated!

Google maps works, but only while you have Internet access.

Garmin Mobile XT

Had to do some tweaking and replacing files to get Garmin Mobile to recognize internal GPS, but now it works great. The GPS chip is super sensitive...much more so than the bluetooth one. I get location inside of buildings no problem. I also use Windows Live Search and Google Maps which are great for finding nearby services. I defected from Sprint for this phone and finally have the all-in-one device I have been waiting for.

I'm currently using TomTom 6, which is available as a cab download taken from the HTC OEM ROM. The software itself is not considered warez, as it is originally available from HTC. You do however have to buy the maps for your area from TomTom. AT&T does charge for use of their TeleNav service. If you are using TomTom, Garmin Mobile, or any other GPS software, you will not have any additional fees.

Yes, iGuidance works just fine with the Kaiser/Tilt. Pretty quick sat acquisition. Nice to have it always with you. I often found myself without the external GPS when I wanted it.
