Is there any way to get Manila 2.5 on this device like the Touch Pro 2?

Hey, I was curious if anyone knows if you can run Manila 2.5 on this device? I have a Touch Pro 2 and I know originally it runs Manila 2.1, but you can upgrade it to Manila 2.5 by flashing different ROMs to it.

I was just curious if it was possible with this device. My friend has it and I want to show him the amazing things you can do with a Windows Mobile phone!

From what I understand, you have to load Manila 2.5 into a ROM and then load it on the phone. At the moment there isnt a ROM out there yet that has it already built into it. It seems like this device is getting the shaft when it comes to software.

Really? i noticed there wasn't any ROMs or cooking of ROMs in the "Upgrades" section of the forum. I wonder why not? Has someone managed to find a way to unlock this phone?

According to a lot of developers over at xda, the Manila 2.5 is too big and too deep rooted to be placed into a cab file. It needs to be cooked into the rom itself.

The Imagio is still young for a hard spl allowing us to put custom roms on the phone. If you follow the upgrades sections, cmonex is getting to our hspl as soon as she finished work on a project she's working on. At this point, we need to chill out and look forward to the hspl. Just follow along it'll be out soon. Then we'll be cooking roms up with this kick azz features. Trust me it'll be worth the wait!

Since I probably won't replace my rom anyway, I'm asking out of sheer curiosity: what's the typical time investment for figuring out the hspl?

Since it is extremely easy to brick your device when tryign to figure out how to correctly unlock it, they will probably be bricking dozens of devices before they get it to work right, and the frustration that comes with that wil add on even more time.

Its really sad that we have to wait for roms when the HD2 had them before the phone even came out.
