Strange... this just started happening to me. I've had the phone for over a month now, and it's only started in the last couple of days. It's not often, maybe like once every day or so, but I can see why you guys are annoyed.

It seems to have started after I did a reflash of the official ROM, so maybe that's part of the issue?

I've reflashed with the official ROM and I rarely see 1x, except in some areas I know are weak for me. Otherwise 3G most the time. That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if a Radio update will help this, no idea however if they will be putting one out (usually with a ROM update) anytime soon.

Although my phone now doesn't have the "stuck in 1X" problem (at least for the last week or so), here's a response I received from HTC. At least they respond, unlike VZW.

"Thank you for contacting HTC Technical Assistance Center. I apologize for the length of time it took me to respond to your email. I understand how frustrating it can be when your device switched from 3G to 1X without giving a command to do so. I will be happy to address this problem.

Go on your Imagio to Start> Settings> All Settings> Personal> Phone> Click on the CDMA Services Tab. Then you will need to highlight Network Services and hit get settings. When you have hit get settings you can toggle back and forth between the preferences to see if you can gain a better signal. If these steps are unable to resolve your issue then you will need to contact Verizon and have them trouble shoot the network on your device.

Verizon Users Getting Stuck in 1X --- PLEASE READ!
For those of you who have the plaguing problem of your data connection dropping to 1X, I'm trying to spearhead this issue with Verizon and need your help.

Everytime I open a ticket, it get's closed stating that it's a signal issue with a specific location. We all know that this is not the case. I finally have got ahold of a Tech supervisor who gave me all of his contact information so that we could ALL direct our issue to him. He would then get it elevated through the proper channels and then hopfully they can find a fix. It's my hope that we can all email or call him and explain our issue. He was very nice to work with on the phone and said he is dedicated to getting the problem resolved. I think he's looking at this from a global look rather than an isolated one like every other tech I've spoken to.
