WinMo Speed v1.04

Hey guys, just thought I would let you know about a new over clocking program that works on the Imagio. I have been using it for a few days and it works great.

It is called WinMo Speed v1.04 and it now supports the Imagio even with the latest upgrade (MR2)!

You can find it HERE

Change Log:
Version 1.04
- blackstone problem should be solved now (tested by tsalta with Blac016 / 1.17.25.09)
- added support for more ROMs
- support for Raphael / Fuze, Diamond, Kovsky / Xperia
- GUI shows ROM identification

Version 1.03
- blackstone problem (speed cut in half after sleep) should be solved
- added support for more ROMs
- changes in GUI (you have to create your links again; old ones starts the GUI only)

Version 1.02
- added support for more devices
- added support for more ROMs

Version 1.01
- added support for more OS-ROMs
- added support for more radio-ROM
- new function: restore default speed (528 MHz)

Version 1.00
- Initial release
- Rhodium, RhodiumW

You now have a single program without scripts to manage your OC. =D>

Re: WinMo Speed v1.02

have you had any SOD's from phone calls or from when the phone wakes up at all? how about any lockups or glitchyness? does it give you a read out of the current clock speed like netrippers app does? just wondering, i mights try this next time i flash, saving system memory by having 1 program instead of 3 or 4 is always nice...

I didn't have any lock-ups or SOD while using it. Yes, the program is very clean and it gives you the current frequency and the load of your processor. The only drawback that I have found with it is that it doesn't support the latest Imagio radio, but I am sure he will get that sorted out by the next release.

word, i think ll try this app out when i flash my phone with the next update of project teya. i dont think i have the new radio, mine is version 2.05.75WVL. i have never found a need to upgrade the radio yet, we get pretty good service here in the bay, although when i get to denver this might be different...

I'd like to try it (I have the stock ROM). What's the highest speed that's safe for Imagio?

thanks,

Mike

every cpu is different, its best to start low (around 604) and work up. each step try some cpu intensive programs (try flipping through pics, searching through pages in opera, playing games etc...) and see how your phone reacts. once you get to point when you phone starts to lock up or glitch out on you, take a step or 2 back and set your speed there (usually this will be around 710-768mhz)...

To bad it wont work on the new teya or i just updated my radio some how but i dont think i can do both lol

sonami 12-29-2010 06:58 PM

Re: WinMo Speed v1.02

it should work on teya, just not the mr2 radio. if you flash to the mr1 radio it should work fine. they didnt change much on the mr2 update anyway from what i understand, so you shouldnt be able to tell a major difference anyway...

hm, no wonder I've been trying to run it on the new radio and it doesn't work. It's time to roll back the radio. Thanks.

Re: WinMo Speed v1.02

Just tried it - was told I needed .net upgrade on my Imagio (it's fairly new, so I'm a little confused why it would have older .net loaded)

sonami 12-31-2010 07:13 PM

Re: WinMo Speed v1.02

check to see if you have .net framework 3.5, that should be what you need...

Re: WinMo Speed v1.02

Tried WinMo, program says my .NET is too old. Where do I upgrade the .net?

I have .NetCompactFramework 2.0, but the good news is it's SP2.

Where do I get 3.5?

I just installed it on mine (with MR2). It is working fine and appears to be stable at 710. May try to boost it a bit more later.

i concur!! adding a second wind to my Imagio. it's a lot more responsive now and makes the ROMs more tolerable.

Re: WinMo Speed v1.03

I have running at 768 for 5 days or so on the Teya 1.3.0 and loving it.

Minimal lag in the camera, photo albums, file explorer etc.

Very Nice.

Re: WinMo Speed v1.03

So, how does one recover if the phone crashes/freezes if overclocked too high? Will a soft reset reset the speed to 528MHz? I guess so but would like to confirm so there are no surprises in the event that it happens! :(

Once again, good find jmart!

Toysrme 01-11-2011 08:52 PM

Re: WinMo Speed v1.03

if its too high youll lock = hard reset via button or battery

710-748 is where most of them will like too run

Yeah, a soft reset will take you back to default (528MHz). The latest program gives you the option to create a shortcut link to the overclocked speed and also another one for default speed. This way you can toggle back and forth easily or you can take the stable overclock shortcut and throw it in windows/startup. You will then automatically be overclocked on boot.

Where does that shortcut get put initially? I can't seem to find it.

The link is in the installation driectory of WinMo Speed.

Check the developers page for full information.
[APP] WiMoSpeed: [2011-01-05] V1.03 - xda-developers
- Download and install the CAB
- Start WiMoSpeed.exe.
- Select Speed
- Set Speed
- If desired create link (in installation directory) with actual settings
- Exit WiMoSpeed.exe
- Your device still runs with speed you set
- Copy created speed link to Windows\Startup

My Imagio froze after receiving call when OC'ed to 710MHz. :(

So far mine has been gold running at 768MHz for a near full day with no problems. =)

coming from an energy rom, teya will feel like a new phone, its definitely the best rom out there right now for the imagio. super quick, responsive, smooth, and looks great too...

Once I can figure out how to turn on plus code dialing, it will be worth trying the Teya ROM out!

i think someone mentioned a reg edit for plus code dialing in the teya thread...

Re: WinMo Speed v1.03

I was under the impression that jmart had it set up under settings and not as a registry entry. No wonder I couldn't find it. Hope he is able to set it up so that the current country is automatically chosen with the corresponding settings...

Sorry guys, I forgot about this thread. I will update the first post. The only change that we will see in 1.04 is a reference to which ROM and Radio you are using. A cool feature none the less.
