funny story about breaking my phone

So I manage to drop my Imagio in the exact way to make the glass crack in 7 different places along wiht a few indents. The phone's screen was totally unresponsive, even after taking the battery out and putting it back. I did a hard reset to remove my data before getting an insurance replacement and then the screen started working again. Another funny thing is the USB wouldn't work and now it also does after the hard reset.
Now as an IT guy an can't figure out why a soft reset via battery removal would not fix it but a hard one did. Any guesses?:scratch::scratch:

At least now I can put the stock rom back on before shipping it out, not that the insurance co probably cares.

I think they probably do care since flashing a custom rom voids your warranty. But I often wonder if they ever check that kind of stuff or not.

oh yeah - and if you can relock it with the "relocker" - that would be a good idea as well. but since this post is a couple of days old - that may be to late.

good luck. I would like to here about the condition of your replacement. new or refurb? quality? I have a broken button - but don't really want some crumby refurb.

I don't know any better so I will ask, do you need the TS to be functional to re-lock it?

Mine was a insurance replacement so I got a brand new one like when I first bought it. If I was returning to Verizon I would re-lock it, but I just flashed the MR1.
My coworker got a warranty replacement on his and he got a refurb replacement but it was in good condition, no visible wear. That was was put back the right way before sending it back.
