deleted home icon

I accidentally removed my home icon from the start menu. A search of the forum brings up a restore for the TP2 but not for the Imagio. Can someone tell me how to bring this very useful icon back to my start menu? Thanks in advance!

ok go into your registry and check in the manila directoy for the following key

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila\ProgramLaun cher\0]
"DispName"="[[IDS_HOMETITLE]]"
"IconPath"="\\windows\\HTC\\Assets\\Images\\progra mlauncher\\Program_icon\\home_88.qtc"
"IsReadOnly"=dword:0
"Path"="\\Windows\\manila.exe"
"Command"="--switchtopage Manila://home.page"

If it isnt in there...put it in there.

Why do you need the home icon anyways? just hit the home button. The home icon just takes up valuable space on your shortcut screen.....

If I am on a call and I want to access home, your method hangs up the call.

You can create a shortcut this way:

1. Open Notepad on your desktop computer (hit the start button, type notepad into the search bar if you are having trouble finding the program). Do not use Word - it will not work.

2. Enter the following line:

Code:

52#"\WINDOWS\manila.exe" --switchtopage Manila://homepage
There is a space between "manila..exe" and "--switchtopage" (sometimes it is hard to tell).

3. Hit "File". Hit "Save As..."

4. In the "Save As..." field type...

home.lnk

(that is .Lnk not .ink). It is important that you use the file extension .lnk and not .txt

5. Using Active Sync transfer the file from your computer to your phone.

6. Use Total Commander to move the link to your start menu. Open Total Commander. Go to wherever you placed the link during Active Sync. Single tap the link to highlight it. Click "File" (bottom left). Select "Copy/Move". Select "Tree". Expand the "Windows" directory by pressing the "+" sign. Expand the "Start Menu" directory. Single tap "Programs" to highlight it. Select "OK" (bottom left).

If you need more help just private message me.

I just hit the back button. That takes you home without hanging up the call!
