verizon: seeing "
I've been using the Verizon unlimited data plan for years now, and recently started seeing this intermittently: a window comes up that says “#777 network unavailable” and disconnects me. It's more frequent during heavy data use, but comes even from regular websites sometimes. Anyone seeing this? What to do? I've called Verizon and no joy.

Your phone in your profile says xv6700. If that is correct your are asking in the wrong section.

Have you changed to CDMA only by any chance? I have noticed if I change my phone from Global to CDMA I get those errors. Since I have left it on Global now I no longer get that error.

I noticed the exact same thing as well. When in CDMA mode got the errors, but now in Global all the time no error messages anymore. And with the NRG ROM installed on my phone, no battery/memory leak. The phone is amazing now. |

Is this just a wacky bug or does it really connect to a different (more stable) network/tower/etc. when in Global mode? > And with the NRG ROM installed on my phone, no battery/memory leak. > The phone is amazing now.[/QUOTE] which is the NRG ROM? I don't notice much memory leak or battery problems, and I've customized so much stuff I don't really want to do it over again unless the ROM is really much better (or unless there's some clever way of keeping my installed apps/settings when I reflash?). thanks, Mike |

I found a few fixes to that problem...it has something to do with simple and mobile ip mode. I'm not an expert on that but maybe they need to activate something on your account to solve that. I think the vga phones browsers like IE are trying to access pages that require simple Ip Addresses because you probable noticed that it only disconnects when accessing a none mobile site.
I'm not sure what causes all that but i found out that the skyfire browser works and also I have the NRG rom installed now for a week or so and I've have done some fair amount of browsing with IE and haven't noticed any disconnects so far. |
