Align Screen Popups Sometimes
Sometimes when I pull my Imagio out of it's holster, it brings up the Align Screen, and I have to align the screen.
Anyone know why this happens? It is locked while in the holster... This is driving me nuts as I can't do anythin till I run through the align screen setup (sometimes twice). |
Re: Align Screen Popups Sometimes
This has happened to me as well, I believe the cause is when you accidentally hit the Volume Up + Volume Down keys at the same time. I'm not sure how to disable it though :(

Re: Align Screen Popups Sometimes
I get the same annoying circumstance. The alignment is activated by holding the volume button in and touching the screen all at the same time. This is also a byproduct of the screen lock not working.

Re: Align Screen Popups Sometimes
This is nuts. I had 17 align screens in queue before I could log on my phone. The TP 2 does not do this because the Buttons are inactive in sleep (Cause it's got a sleep BUTTON) I would love to disable this..

Re: Align Screen Popups Sometimes
it has to do with a combination of touching the screeen and hitting both the up and down volume buttons at the same time when the phone is locked but NOT in sleep mode.
I agree - VERY LAME. COME ON HTC - WTF?!?!?! |
Re: Align Screen Popups Sometimes
BTW it DOES happen on the TP2 - I've had one and had it happen there too. It has to do with the phone being "awake" but locked vs "asleep".

Re: Align Screen Popups Sometimes
Ok - so this is a brand new concept to me. Turning the screen off, and putting the phone to "sleep" are 2 different things? So does putting your phone to "sleep" save more battery power than simply locking the phone or turning off the screen?

Re: Align Screen Popups Sometimes
I think what happens is that you can turn your screen off, but this does not put the phone to sleep. The phone will go to sleep when the power time out settings take affect. I saw this with the stock ROM. I cannot test this on my phone at the moment though. Right now if my display turns off by any means then my phone is locked.

Re: Align Screen Popups Sometimes
When the phone is sleeping it does not happen. It sleeps after about 30 secs after the screen shuts off. However the phone wakes when you are receiving a call and if you pull it out of your pocket or holster while grabbing the volume keys by mistake it activates the screen align as it rubs the screen as it is being removed from your pocket or holster.

Re: Align Screen Popups Sometimes
With the Imagio, any front panel button wakes the phone, making it possible to put it into alignment mode. Plus it can be done over a lock, and it's stackable. Two things that make no sense. I dumped my Imagio (Anyone need the box, some styluses and the back?) and got a tp2.

Use "disCali" and you won't see that problem again. It's made by a guy named amit
Problem solved. :) |
Re: Align Screen Popups Sometimes
Nice, I will put it in my stash of software. I switched to a Touch Pro 2 and I am very happy. Running MightyRom's Impact. Seems speedy, I haven't accidently activated the Calibration once. Does this cab disable it completely? Could I still run it on command?
