GPS Questions

So, can't find any other post regarding my questions, so here goes (don't flame me if its too n00b!).

I have the Imagio (duh), running 6.5 pro, it also has 2.05.75 radio, and 1.08.605.11 ROM dated 9/14/09. Its running TF3D 2.0 as well.

I would love to give the GPS a shot, but feel verizon is getting enough money from me already. How can I go about using the GPS system on the phone without HAVING to pay for it (yea, I try to be cheap). Are there any freeware systems out there that would work (turn by turn is not a requirement)

And if there are, how does one go about using it?

Google maps 4.0 is a free app to use your GPS with. VZW doesn't charge you for GPS unless you use vz nav. Just google google maps 4.0 and download them.

All three of these apps are free and utilize the gps function. I use all three, different ones for different things, but they all work well.
