Internet Sharing in Com Manager NOT COLOR
 

I KNOW that this has been done, but i've lost how to do it again.

I know that there is a .cab that allows you to use internet sharing as an application.

However, I'm looking for the registry mod that just allows you to use the registry to enable Internet Sharing when connecting via USB. It shows up when you connect via USB and asks if you want to either ACTIVE SYNC, USB DEVICE, or INTERNET CONNECT.

I'm looking to get back the INTERNET CONNECT option in the Com Manager that allows this to work.

Can someone please help me out??? I've been searching for two days now and I can't find what I'm looking for.

Installing this color Comm Manager mod will add that option and a few others while adding color icons to it. Specifically the link on post 4.

Yes, and thank you.

However, it can be done without the color screen. I did it before with just a registry edit. The IMAGIO is capable of doing this without 3rd party software or applications, it just needs to be enabled through the registry. I've just lost the registry files to do that.

Navigate to HKLM\Software\HTC\USBtoPCPopUp\OnlyTwoChoice

and change that to 0

Now when you plug in your device you will see an option for tethering.

I would also like to extend a great big thank you. Did the reg edit last night. Works great. Just wondering- I pay $30 a month extra for 5G of data to use my phone as modem (besides the $30 data plan for the phone). Does this tethering option work for you even if you are not paying for "phone as modem"?

Yes, I use it and it works with no extra charges.
