After a week of trying to get mms to work on my imagio i managed to stumble upon a few registry settings on the phone to make it work using the manila 2.5 sense. Now I've tried the mms fix cab and all that's done for me is cause problems on my phone, as well as not fix my mms issue. So after a week of experimenting on my phone with the two main folders in the registry: arcsoft, and jataayu i was able to fix the mms setting as well as document everything i did to make it work; i even reset the phone again and installed sense as well as the cab i'm going to put up and it worked! Once you've done install the mike304 mms fix cab and Then change the reg settings \\hklm\software\jataayu\mms\profile\verizon and change the mmscurl value and put your phone number where it says your phone number example below: http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms?X-VZW-MDN=yourphonenumber

Credits go out to the person who said to put this ?X-VZW-MDN and honestly i don't who it is, also to jmart518 for being so kind to make the cab for me. You'll need a program like resco explorer to edit mmscurl entry. I can't guarantee this will work with any other device except the imagio. Thank you.

What version of Sense 2.5 are you using this fix on?

Also, I have made a cab of your reg edits. I hard reset my phone this morning, so once I get 2.5 loaded back in I will try it.

I tested this on my 2.5 2011.3030 but should work on any manila version.

The cab works out perfectly, thank you for giving us that! It worked with the latest build, but HTC message client is just too slow so I removed it from the 2012. Would you mind if I used the cab on the main Sense thread for 2011?

Im excited to try this out but I have one question........When you say to install tc cab provided in the manila 2.1/2.5 tread that's on the main page. Where is that???????? Call me stupid but I cant find it??????

Sorry, I have removed that cab from the first post of the 2.5 Thread as it is no longer needed for the Sense installation. Here is the Total Commander cab.

If you download any of Jmart's sense installations they should now be incorporated in the manila itself, but in case you still need it for whatever reason... it'll stay here for everyone! :mrgreen:

i have arcsoft... when i send picturemail i get an "http: send GET request failed" error message... any idea why?
i can receive it fine :)

I can see you have sprint as your carrier, I don't know the settings for sprint so I can't help you there the cab is only made for htc imagio (verizon) or experimental htc touch pro 2 users (verizon) only.

If you read more down below you see I've already resolved this issue, it works on any manila version that uses jaatayu to send mms through htc messaging which most roms can't do because all the settings are not configured properly. Once you install the cab I put what registry key you have to change with step by step instructions.

True but alot of roms have problems using htc messaging to send mms, that's where my fix comes in.

Now I have to disagree. I have the March 17 Energy 21895 w/Cookie installed and I cannot send mms. I can compose the message but it will only send after a reboot. It will not send when I click send. What's the deal with that?

I'm using nrgz's latest (aug 1st) rom and installing this with pyrob's latest HTC Messages cab I can send MMS's but not recieve. I'm on VZW and I changed all three reg entries that said "yournumberhere" is there anythign else i need to change?

The reason you are able to send but not receive is most likely due to the fact that the imagio and touch pro 2 use the same send 'protocol files' but when your sending a message the files that are needed that are in my cab that tell it how to receive are not on the tp2. Basically my reg file makes htc messaging use arcsoft to send and receive using the htc mesaging interface. The reason I was never able to complete a fix is because I don't have a tp2 and its more difficult for me to test with various people without having access to a tp2 registry and knowing which file to use.

I could be wrong, but I think it depends on how you are sending the messages as well. With the NRG Roms you cannot send MMS from the camera application. You have to go to the messaging just like you're typing a regular text message and insert the picture/video. In the ROMs that I have used all throughout July and now August I have never had to make adjustments or install any additional CABs.

Do you have any general idea where I could start? I can navigate the registry fine, I could also just dump the whole thing for you if you would like.

(assuming we're still talking about the NRG ROM) Try backing up your contacts, etc. and master reset the phone. Don't do any registry edits or install any messaging CABs and try sending a MMS the way I described above.

Coolpoete does have a point nrg roms running on tp2 using htc msg interface should be running with no problem. Another thing is that you can't mix my mms fix with other fixes because other mms fixes might change what isn't needed to be changed. The only people that should have problems sending or receiving an mms via htc msg are verizon stock rom users (unless it has been fixed). Even if you dumped the files it would still be hard due to the fact that I would need a tp2 to do continuous trial and error ; took me a week to find the problem on the imagio when 2.5 in a cab was introduced and htc msg wouldn't work.

Yea I've tried doing it right after a hard reset, just installing the htc messaging cab before installing the mms fix with no dice. I'm not sure how the program on imagio could be any different than tp2?

not sure what to tell you, I just sent myself a test mms and it worked fine. didn't install any cab at all. Using 23129 Cookie GTX Dinik Aug 13.
