If all you want is for the icon to go away, just rename the key
HKLM\Services\MFLORSSI to HKLM\Services\!MFLORSSI Just add an ! to the beginning of the name. Soft reset; That's it. No deleting required

I used PHM regedit. Attached below.

Re: TV icon

first, you need a reg editor. I use phm reg edit, it works fine for me. Look atop the imagio forum threads for the tweaks, etc..... thread and you will find the cab for the reg edit in there. you need to download the cab to your computer, and sync the phone to your computer. drag the cab from your computer onto your phone while synced. eject the phone from your computer and unplug it. go into file explorer on your phone, go under storage card and find the cab where you put it. install it to your card, not your phone. soft reset the phone and now you can go back into the application phm regedit and go through the file path listed earlier in this thread. tip, HKLM means htc local machine in your reg edit.

Whenever you see something like: HKLM\Services\MFLORSSI to HKLM\Services\!MFLORSSI that’s referring to a line in the “registry” of the phone. In order to see and modify the registry you will need to install a registry editor program. I’m using a program called Total Commander. It’s a free file explorer/registry editor. I’m attaching the file here. It’s called: “tcmdpocketarm.cab”.

To install this .cab (or others you will want to install) you need to connect your phone to your computer using the usb cable that came with your phone. I’m not sure how far along you are so if you haven’t done it yet, put the cd that came with your phone into the drive on your PC and it’ll prompt you to install either “Active Sync” if you’re using Windows XP, or “Windows Mobile Device Center” if you’re using Windows Vista. There should be paper work with the phone that explains the order you’ll use to get this part done.

If you’ve gotten past this, let me know and I’ll get further into it. I understand the problem with being “brand new” to this and I’ll do my best to walk you through what little I’ve learned so far.

Wish I'd had the cab... then I wouldn't have had to learn to (shudder) edit the registry.
