Use Imagio as a USB GPS device
 

Does anyone know if there is a way to connect the imagio to a laptop and use it as a GPS receiver? It would be nice to have a big screen and alot eaiser to type on a laptop than on a phone...

thanks for the suggestions but all that will do is give me the ability to type on the screen and I still have a little picture. I want to be able to use google or any other navigation program on the computer and have the imagio be the GPS device... I hope this make sense...

These are a couple of the GPS programs I use and what I've posted here are screenies of one of my 24" monitors. You can adjust mymobiler to full screen as well or any degree that you could want. I see what you want to do though. Maybe this might hold you over until you go through the process above that Nico found for you.

WHy don't you just use the WIFI from your phone and then use google maps?

...to turn your phone into a wifi hotspot and then log onto google maps. But like you said- google maps won't do you any good unless you have gps on your computer.
