Verizon Plastic Holder

Guys,

I just wanted to review the Verizon plastic Holder I got today. I really needed to get something that I would feel comfortable with, not only for comfort when wearing it, but the comfort of knowing my expensive but delicate phone is well protected. The fit is outstanding. The phone fits perfectly with no wiggle room. The retaining clip is very strong so I don't see an issue with the phone popping out by mistake.

The phone's screen faces in and the way the holster is constructed there is no contact from the holster with the screen or the push buttons. This should benefit both the life of those very delicate keys and the screen. There is realistically NO protection for the rear cover of the phone but the front is protected 100%. The rear cover I don't care about so much because it IS the back of the phone and I can always purchase a replacement cover if necessary for $15 right from Verizon.

The swiveling belt clip is outstanding. This will NOT come off your belt or strap unless you want it to.

The finish on the Holster is the same soft rubberized paint that's used on the phone. This should help in keeping the phone looking nice, although my personal experience is that eventually any plastic holster will leave marks on the trim or housing of the phone after a few months (My old Siedeo holster wore the chrome trim right off on my Storm).

So far though, this seems like the best solution for everyday usagefor the Imagio.

The problem I have found with leather or soft holsters and pouches is that there is constant pressure on the screen and keys and this has a big impact over time. That's why I prefer this style of holster. My initial impression for the Verivon Holster is 5 stars. The cost is $19.95 unless you have a corporate 25% off discount (which I do) so it's a good investment for a $580 phone.

If any of you out there have used this holster, please add your comments to this post.

That is nice!!! i bet that material will prevent the scratching you speak of (I know what you mean)....

Can it go in face forward???? or only the way shown (not that it matters but just want to know for my car purposes)

Will only work face in since the holster fit is designed to protect the screen and buttons.

I'm using it. I haven't been a fan of this type of holder but I haven't found anything better for the Imagio. In fact I'm beginning to like it a lot. Doesn't stick out as far as most of the full cover options and feels very secure. It's also very easy to remove/replace the phone as needed. I'll probably stick with it.

im on my 2nd one already. the first one lasted about 5 weeks or so. Unfortunately, the weight of the phone lets it rotate the holster too easy and it ends up being sideways more than facing up like i like it. I love the new top hinge holder instead of the old pressure plastic locking type on other phones. anyways, the clip broke where it hinges on the back of the holster. It only takes a couple times of the phone getting caught on something being sideways and it puts enough pressure on the clip and it snaps that hinge real easy. the top clip that actually holds the phone in is kind of squared off and not eased so it rubs your side quite a bit and gets annoying. to me though, there is no other option but using the clip so hopefully this isnt a monthly occurance or this will get old real quick!

Where do you get this, I can't find it on their website for the Imagio phone?!?

I like the style but am worried since I had similar holster for my xv6900 and ended up buying 10 cheap holsters from ebay because I kept breaking them at the back hinge as skitty describes above. Thinking about trying the expensive Verizon one again and find out how it holds up. Usually about 2.99 for the cheap ones on ebay you can afford to break one every once in a while.

Go on the Verizon website and type Imagio holster in the search box. otherwise it's hard to find.

Well, I just sat down in my chair and snapped the clip off of my expensive verizon one. Maybe you better stick with the cheap ebay ones.

Will they replace it within 30 days? like a warranty or do you have to buy another one?
