Thank you for posting this, do you know if it is a Sirius or xm login to use the service?

Re: Siruis xm

I guess I meant to say is there an app for XM, I am trying to get rid of my Sirius because my wife has XM in her truck and I can plug my Imagio into my truck and would like to just pay for the XM subscription. Thanks to anyone who knows.

I had both of those checked and changed them but still doesn't work. same error. when i go to log in it say "un-expected error occured".

maybe I don't realize how this program works. I'm expecting it to be a Stand alone player. Do I have to have this pluged into a computer or radio??????

Just did. Same exact thing. Do you know whats weird? Even after I delete everything (Cab-the cab download-restart) and then re-install. It still has my user name and password in the settings. I delete it but it still remembers.

can you get me a link to the cab?????

Re: Siruis player

Let me ask you this Maxtee. Do you need a special subscription????
Like maybe a online subscription? I know when you go to their website it says I need an additional $2.99 a month to listen online.

Do you have a "on-line" subscription. I thought that i used to listen online for free(with my regular subscription). maybe thats it

maxtcee 01-05-2010 12:38 PM

Re: Siruis player

no online was free when i subscribed maybe you should try and login through there site first and see what you get

wedgemoose 01-05-2010 01:37 PM

Re: Siruis player

That was it maxtee. I had to sign up for the "Premium Internet radio" subscription. I had "Everything Sirius" and remember listening online for free before. But I couldn't find anywhere to listen for free on the site. So i signed up for a free trial and now the app works perfect. Maybe "Everything Sirius" doesn't include internet radio?????(i know I used to listen)

Who knows. But thanks for the app. It works great

Re: Siruis player

i would call up and tell them cause i never had to pay for online

I'm a pretty good searcher. I searched and searched their website and found nothing. It kept coming back to that "premium on-line" thing. I think it's my subscription. Maybe you need one that costs more than $12.95 a month. but I KNOW i used to listen on my computer (I remember because I did it when Howard first came). But don't trust me. Maybe it's their and I just couldn't find it....

Re: Siruis player

They ended "free online listening" soon after the merger. I used it before. I remember the announcements about them ending it and there was a deal (at one time before the removed the service as free part normal of subscriptions) they offered me to extend my "online listening" if I were to extend my subscription for another year. I didn't, now i regret it. The only way to get online listening is to add the 2.99 per month to an existing account or to pay 12 something for a stand alone premium online subscription.

Nicaragüense 01-05-2010 02:59 PM

Re: Siruis player

AHA!!! yet another reason why i should have left them.. although I did anyhow..

I think they could have done soo much better at managing that merger.. perhaps people could have voted for their favorite channels and shows ahead of time.. But i guess they needed to keep it hush hush..

Thanks, Now I know it wasn't me. But I wonder how you got in maxtee? Maybe you already have a premium subscription or something like that. But your right wess, they want $2.99 more a month from me. I'm on a 15 day free trial right now. The app is nice but I don't know about another 3 buck a month for something I would use once in a while. It's like Verizons Navigation, 10 bucks a month for once and a while use....No Thanks

Re: Siruis player

Yeah - used to be free. Now they require a separate online subscription. Sucks...

i dont know i had the 2 yr subscription when stern first went there and never had a problem since my stations stay on the heat and stern all day shade 45 on the weekends

Re: Siruis player

I'm probably reading the thread wrong. Is this application for an XM online subscription or Sirrius online subscription? I have the XM online listening (extra 2.99) ID and password and can log in online, but the mobile app says "Password or Username error, please try again".

I'm running v.2.2.4.6 and NETCFv3.5

Thoughts?

Found this site yesterday....LOVE IT! Thanks to all!

Re: Siruis player

Three things: First XM & Sirius are joined so it should work.
Second, when i signed up to listem online they gave me a different password for some reason.

Third, my username was the same except it had my e-mail address at the end. Try that.
Example, My username was "wedgemoose" but once i signed up they gave me a user name of wedgemoose@charter.com. (the e-mail i used to sign up originally)

and yes, this site rules. I wouldn't know what to do without it. EVERY question gets answered and they never get frustrated with stupid questions(like i always have).

Re: Siruis player

I'm using "name @ isp.com" for my login ID (which does work online np). I got mobiledock to work so I'm guessing this app only works with the Sirius online account and since I was former XM, won't work. I know some of the other players mentioned on the board say they work for Sirius and will be adding XM support so must be something different there.

Thanks.

Re: Siruis player

Greetings,

Loaded program and installed. Have a valid xm account AND premium online account. Entered proper u/n and p/w and get an error "An Unknown Error has occured".

I have tried it through both wireless broadband and through wifi connection. Same result with both.

Any ideas?

........... Ok... perhaps I should have read on... My account is with XM .... figured since they are merged it should work... am I correct in understanding that this program does not work for xm accounts? This account was JUST created today by the way. How the heck do they know if it's xm or sirius?

I was using this program since the last time they changed their servers a couple of months ago, and it worked fine. I can still connect through my desktop (so I know my account is live etc.) but all of a sudden the program on my phone says "logging in..." and then "connection failed"! Is this a newer version that I should reinstall - what's going on?

Mike

I tried it. First time I ran it, it said the same thing - connection failed, but then I ran it again and it worked - thanks! One odd thing now: if a call comes in on the phone, the app quits. The previous version stayed active, although it lost the network connection during the call.
