Single Volume Setting Not Working

I can't figure out what I did this time around to screw it up (since my last hard reset) but the "Single Volume" toggle is not working for me this time around. Well, not entirely.

On the "Sound" screen it has an effect. If it's toggled on, and you adjust volume there, it will move both sliders accordingly. But if I use the hardware volume controls it brings up a screen with "System" and "Ring" tabs that are not linked together. Previous to this last hard reset, it would only show the single volume to control both.

I'm hoping someone out there knows of a fix because I hate to preform another hard reset and reconfigure the phone over such a minor thing.

Thanks

Re: Single Volume Setting Not Working

I am having this problem after I updated to 3.04 ROM. Before, the singe volume control for me worked when using the hardware volume control and from the sound settings menu. Now after 3.04, it only works from the sound settings menu.

Is there a fix for this anywhere?

I haven't found a solution.

Ok so update to this problem that may be enough of a clue to get someone to help fix it.

I wiped my phone clean today to install the latest VZ rom. In the process of changing the look I installed the following cabs:

- 1. sdkcerts.cab
- 2. Tsowen's Taskbar_v3.cab
- 3. KD Mod to Tsowens.cab

This is where my single-volume setup broke. Short of "well don't install those" I was hoping someone could help me figure out how to fix it.

Thanks

It is in the #2 cab tsowen's taskbar, I do not know how to fix it sorry. I never noticed because I always use dual vol control anyway, so the ringer is louder than the text notifications.

You could try installing a third party volume app like "SetVolume"

I use it and it seems to work pretty good. Not sure if it is the solution you want or are looking for.

I mentioned this to KD earlier and he indicated it was something he hadn't been able to isolate at this time. I don't know if it's specifically related to Tsowen's task bars in particular. It'd be interesting to hear from some who has installed another taskbar and whether they experienced the same problem or not.
