removing native the screen unlock slider
I was told there was a registry edit used on the tp2 to remove the native screen lock does anybody know where it can be found? It was used succesfully on the imagio but the guy who did it can't remember what it was... I did see it work....

Re: removing native the screen unlock slider
I searched the registry and found
HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd\DeviceLockWhenSuspend HKCU\ControlPanel\Backlight\AutoDeviceLockTimeout HKCU\ControlPanel\Backlight\AutoDeviceLockEnable I think I disabled the AutoDeviceLockEnable and that made the phone quit locking, but I look now (after I had done a hard reset) and that value is set to 0 and the phone still locks when the backlight goes off. You might change it to 1 and see. I know I changed one of these keys (but I don't remember which one) when I had messed up the slide to unlock feature and had a blue screen unlock. |

I found this and it works great for me. I take no credit for it just passing it along.

Re: removing native the screen unlock slider
It uses the DeviceLockWhenSuspend key:
<characteristic type="HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd"> <parm name="DeviceLockWhenSuspend" value="0" datatype="integer" /> |
Re: removing native the screen unlock slider
So I want to put it back. My Imagio was dutifully locking whenever I turned off the screen. Now within the last few days it only locks if I select "lock".
I tried modifying these keys but whether they are set to 1 or 0 doesn't seem to make a difference. Anyone else seeing this behavior? |
