What are these Weather items?
 

What are these two weather items? I thought it might be wind direction, but it hasn't changed for days... I find it hard to believe the wind has been a constant 7mph for days?

On mine, it's the GPS icon and "Wichita". I'm guessing that the GPS icon means that it is getting the current location from the gps, in my case that's Wichita and in your case it's "7" wherever that is!

Yeah that's the My Location indicator. Not sure why it shows 7, usually that should show your City, State (US) or Country. It may be that it's not getting accurate info from the towers near you and putting up something odd instead. Have you updated QuickGPS lately?

Interesting. I enabled location services last week (so amAze works), and on your suggestion I went in to QuickGPS and did a download.

I went into QuickGPS and checked "Automatically update", and after downloading, went back to Weather and manually updated that as well, but it still shows "7".

Weird.

Any other ideas?

I do live in the sticks, I'll have to make sure to check tomorrow when I am at work, which is in a much more urban location.

Where are you located?
Have you added another location? Add another location and see if when you page down on the weather it brings up the name of the city you added.

BTW, when you installed amAze, did you lose the slide to unlock feature? When I installed it, it went away and I had a blue screen unlock I had to hit twice to unlock.
It was very annoying. I had to hard reset my phone to fix it.

I live about 30 miles North of Baltimore, MD.

I added Baltimore as another location (my city name doesn't come up in the list, and it doesn't appear you can use zip code), and indeed, the weather screen shows Baltimore, MD now instead of 7 (note too it's 5 degrees warmer there - Baltimore is at sea level, where I live is about 800 feet above sea level, and the 30 miles or so makes a huge difference in weather, when it's snowing here it's usually raining in Baltimore).

Any thoughts as to how I can "set" my little podunk town as a location name?

No, my unlock screen works fine.

What did hose it however, was the Dusk cab. That pi$$ed me off big time. I had to restore from a backup (thank you Sprite!!!)
